  • Specialization:Szu-Ching Chang is an assistant professor in dance at National Taiwan University of Sport. She also serves as a board member of Dance Research Society, Taiwan. She holds a Ph.D. in Critical Dance Studies from the University of California, Riverside and her M.A in Performance Studies from National Taiwan University of Arts. Her dissertation focuses on how reflective nostalgia may motivate the choreographers to create contemporary dances with “traditional” elements in Taiwan. Her research interests are the interrelationships between dance and nostalgia, cultural memory, gender, and globalization. Her papers have been published in Taiwan Dance Research Journal (TDRJ) and Arts Review in Taiwan. She also presented papers at SDHS, CORD, WDA, CORPUS and other dance international conferences.
