Mr. He-Ming Chou, the first president of Taiwan Provincial Junior College of Physical Education, established the shield-shaped Emblem. The shape represents the defense and expansion of the tradition. The three plum blossoms represent the three great virtues: wisdom, authoritative conduct, and bravery. The five ribbons represent the emphasis on the five aspects of education: ethics, academics, physical activity, social skills, and the arts.
